A glass-and-cedar pavilion above the larch line

Set into a south-facing slope, this 2019 pavilion is a study in restraint — board-formed concrete, white oak, and walls of glass that dissolve the line between the living room and the larches beyond. Mornings arrive through a clerestory; evenings settle into a sunken hearth room. The kitchen is anchored by a single nine-foot island of honed marble.
